BRANTON

The BRANTON name is not one which has any great depth in our ancestry. It is only encountered for the girst time with a 1735 marriage between Isabell Branton and Richard Francis in Easington, East Yorkshire.
However, subsequent research into our Carrick family in and around Easington revealed that the Carricks
and Brantons were the two most prominent families in Easington in that era and it was possible to identify quite a few family groups in Easington and surrounding villages, most of which were connected..
Isabell Branton (b.circa 1715) was our 5G-Grandmother.
