The HEWITT name first appears in our lineage in the mid/late 1800s
via marriage into our PEACHEY family in Hull, East Yorkshire.
However, the origin of our Hewitt family is much further south in the town of Cowes on the Isle of Wight
It was around 1850 that our GG-grandfather migrated north to Hull, via Hampshire and London.
Laura Horwood Hewitt (b.1857, Hull, East Yorkshire) was our G-Grandmother.
