MACAULAY

The MACAULAY name is one of our primary lines as it is the maiden name of our mother.
The family has Scottish origins, being from the western side of the country. Our Macaulays migrated to Glasgow and Govan during the first half of the 19thC and found employment in the shipbuilding industry.
During the 1860s, they migrated further south to England and settled in Hull, where they remained.

Our mother was Bertha Macaulay (b.1920, Hull, East Yorkshire).
